"We are just beginning our 2nd year at Clywedog dog holiday park, it is a beautiful site with fantastic views. The amenities are excellent and we would highly recommend the site to anyone thinking of purchasing a caravan and are looking for the perfect site. Emily and Richard who run the site are very friendly along with the staff and nothing is too much trouble.
Five star rating."

"I have enjoyed my caravan at Clywedog Riverside Holiday Home Park for a long while, could be 20 years at least, and during this time I have seen the family business pass to a second generation partnership. Many additions have been added to the Park facilities......... and it has always been a pleasure to take advantage of these. A visit to Llanidloes, close by, for shopping and eating-out, plus the surrounding areas for walking, including the delightful Hafren Forest where you can wander at will, even to higher areas. Good parking with picnic and toilet facilities. Visits to the coastal resorts, local reservoires with catering and circular walks, plus Dams overflowing at times, a beautiful sight. The town of Welshpool, further up country has the benefit of Powis Castle - National Trust owned, a pleasant drive and day out. Clywedog is peaceful and well maintained, with help at hand at all times." |

A littel poem fron Andre & Mel about Clywedog Park
"The spring breeze,
the cool yet warm air
The buzzing bees,
finding nectar to share
The Red Kites,
Surveying the sites
The beautiful flowers,
and the shining sun.
Relaxing, or walking, or just having fun.
These are a few of our most favourite things.
No noisy clubhouse,
Just the tranquillity offered too.
But most of all, when it comes
to the things that we love.
At the top of our list,
there it is, it is you!" |

"We have spent 20 incredibly happy years on this beautiful friendly exceptional site. Previously it was the owners Terry and Carol and lately with their son Richard and his wife Emily. The relationship with both the site owners and caravan owners has been one of harmony, warmth and mutual respect and support at all times.
This lovely immaculate site is well placed for enjoying the facilities of Llanidloes where we have made many additional long lasting friendships. You will also find a welcome in the local Golf Club, or enjoy the sailing on Clywedog Reservoir. Do not forget the magnificent and exceptional countryside of the uplands of Wales
One could ask for nothing more from this relaxed and beautiful peaceful haven. Enjoy it as much as we have over these long years."

"In April 2015 we decided we wanted to buy a static holiday home. We looked at caravans at Salop Leisure, and then set about finding a site. After many years touring we had a good idea what we liked.
We wanted somewhere less than an hour and a half from home, so that the journey would never be an issue. We wanted it to be within walking distance of a town. The site itself had to be quiet and attractive.
We identified a list and rang some up. Emily invited us to have a look round, which we did the next day.
The site was beautifully maintained. Richard and Emily were very friendly and welcoming. Llanidloes is within walking distance, a lovely Welsh town. And there was a plot available that we very much liked. So we went for lunch and to talk it over and decided to go ahead without bothering with anywhere else – it did all we wanted. The next day we went to Salop to buy the van.
This was 4 years ago, and we have enjoyed the site very much since then. There are many things to to do in the area, drives through super scenery, and many walks. There is wildlife to watch and the Ospreys at the reservoir. The site is very well kept, friendly and quiet. No clubhouse (good!) but there is a library, and washing facilities. The adjoining fields offer wonderful views and are a good place to walk and relax.
We have been at all times of the year, and each season offers its own attractions The New Years Eve fireworks are a good end of season send-off." |

''Patrick and I have been on Clywedog Park for nearly thirty years and before that we frequently visited my aunt and uncle’s caravan on the site. We have seen many changes at the park over the years, in particular over the last few years and it continues to get better each year. The park is peaceful and the location is ideal for walking and touring. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The local town, Llandiloes is an idyllic place with a variety of shops and pubs. In summary, Clywedog Park is a little piece of heaven on earth.''

We have been residents at Clywedog riverside park since 2014 after finding this little gem through a reputable caravan dealer. Richard and Emily Onions and their dedicated staff have really turned the park into a tranquil and scenic place as well as the adjoining Red Kite Touring park.
All caravans have been carefully sited and the surrounding areas meticulously maintained throughout the season.
Park facilities are excellent including WIFI, Sky TV, laundry room, DVD library and even a small gym for the more enthusiastic residents. Local amenities are also excellent in Llanidloes town too.
The park is also a very Dog friendly park which for us was very important and it even includes a dog wash room..
We would highly recommend Clywedog Riverside Caravan park to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

As new owners, we chose the best holiday park around, beautifully kept site, fantastic landscaping which is in pristine condition every time we come. A holiday home park that really cares to have beautiful grounds to enjoy rather than craming in as many holiday homes as possible.
Within walking distance of beautiful historical market town with choice of eateries, and public houses. Only to return to peaceful and friendly site. Well done all keep up the good work. |
